Saturday provided another full day of concurrent sessions and the closing general session in which Erin Gruwell told of her experiences as a young teacher trying to reach young adolescents in Los Angeles. The success of her work has helped many of those young people turn their lives around.

The Saturday night Social was a great way to wind down, as all could relax and reflect on a very successful conference. A big hit was the Avalon String Band, who even helped Sue Swaim celebrate a very special day. Lots of attendees took part in the "Mummers' Strut!"
