Want to recognize a teacher whose dedication, commitment and passion has contributed to the betterment of his or her school, students, or educational community?  Then, place your nomination for Teachers’ Insurance Plan’s™ Teacher of the Year Award.  The state winner receives a $1,000 cash award; plus, the winner’s school receives $500.  A national winner is also selected.  Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2005-06 school year and are open to all qualified teachers, regardless of whether they are a Teachers’ Insurance Plan member.  Nominations must be postmarked or electronically submitted by midnight March 1, 2006.  To nominate a teacher, go to www.teachers.com/toty.
