Dear Pennsylvania Educators,

The Pennsylvania Middle School Association (PMSA) has recently formed a partnership with Knowledge Delivery Systems, Inc. (KDS) to offer members the ability to satisfy their teacher’s professional development and graduate degree requirements online from the most well-known and requested educational experts available.  In order to continue to serve the needs of our members we have created the PMSA Online Academy (www.kdsi.org/PMSA).

With this link, you are able to view the available courses for the PMSA Online Academy.  PMSA now offers our member middle schools the ability to offer your teachers Act 48 accredited professional development and graduate credit online towards their Masters, Master +15, +30, +45, and +60 from Immaculata University, which is located right outside of Philadelphia at a special reduced member rate.

Our members also have the ability to work with KDS to set up a special school-wide professional development program that can be differentiated to meet each teacher’s specific requirements.  A school-wide program will provide a school’s principal with the tools to monitor and track their teacher’s professional development, a printable report to submit for No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements, and full discussion board capabilities to lead teacher discussions and post upcoming events.

Some of the courses that are being offered through PMSA include:

Æ ED 830 Special Education, Teaching in a Mixed Ability Classroom

Æ ED 831 Differentiated Instruction

Æ ED 832 Creating and Managing a Successful Classroom

Æ ED 833 Meeting the NCLB Standards Becoming a Great Educator

Æ ED 834 Becoming an Educational Leader in the 21st Century

Æ ED 835 Integrating your Curriculum in a Differentiated Environment

Act 48 credit will cost only $100 for 8 hours — 1 graduate credit will only cost $250

If one of our members would like to set up a school-wide program please contact Evan Erdberg at (800) 728-0032 or evan@kdsi.org

These courses are taught by the most prominent educational experts such as Carol Ann Tomlinson, Todd Whitaker, Rick Wormeli, Clifton Taulbert, Jay McTighe, Susan Winebrenner, Bruce Campbell, Debbie Silver, and Marilee Sprenger.

PMSA looks forward to providing our members with the professional development they require at a price they can afford.   Online education is growing and our members must prepare their teachers and schools to accept and use online technology.  The PMSA Online Academy will lead our members into the future of education.
