
State College, PA: January 12, 2008
The Southeast Region of PMSA was approved by the Executive Board at State College this past Saturday. The region consists of the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Effective July 1, 2008, the Southeast Region will become an independently operating region joining the Eastern, Central, Northwestern, and Western Regions of PMSA. Any member schools or individuals in the aforementioned counties of the Southeast Region who would like to become actively involved should contact Dr. Charles A. Cognato, Southeast Region President at ccognato@wcasd.net.

Southeastern Region,
On behalf of the Pennsylvania Middle School Association Executive Board I would like to extend a sincere congratulation to each of you for your hard work and effort in seeing the expansion of the PA Middle School Association to fruition. Your hard work is to be commended and will be used as a blue print for future expansion. The creation of the SE Region is further evidence of the incredible growth that our organization is experiencing now and in the future. As we grow together it only strengthens our reach as we continue to be the leaders is promoting best practices in middle level education. I look forward to recognizing your incredible efforts at our Professional Development Institute in March. Thank you all!
